**Alex is with another rescue, please email our website for full details**

So handsome Alex is approx 18 months to 2 years old, he was found tied up at an abandoned farm, where he never saw anyone, he was found in such a bad way the chain from his neck had to have surgery to be removed 😫

He is a big puppy and had to be taught everything from scratch, manners boundaries and about life, our fantastic volunteer and behaviourist took him on as a foster and he has done amazingly well.

He has learnt all his basics and responds well to his commands, he has excelled in both canicross and agility so would really suit an active family.
He will still need the continued training to establish boundaries in a new home, but our behaviourist will help each step of the way. He is more than ready to find his own home.

He does however need to be homed to an adult only home, for whatever reason he has snapped a couple of times at children, we don’t know if this is due to his past, but we cannot take the risk and home him to a family with young children, he is also not suitable with a family that has cats.

But he will be the most loyal companion for an adult only home, who likes their walks or runs and would be interested in agility/cani Cross as he has been amazing at it.

He can be homed with calm medium-large size dogs also as a companion as he has been great with them.

He is a super boy and would live him to find a new home of his own, or worst case scenario a foster home as it is urgent we find something before the 30th of January due to Tracey having commitments that will be lasting 6 months so she can no longer keep him with her.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
