Pippa is embarking on her 10th, yes her 10th sponsored walk to raise funds for GSDs.

This time, she wishes to support the ‘Lost Souls’ in the care of GSRE, you know the ones who had their world fall apart (removed from their family and all that is familiar).   The ‘lost soul’ is put into a kennel (except the fortunate few who go into foster care).  Family – GONE, home comforts – GONE, regular walks – GONE, barking at the postman – GONE, all that is familiar is taken away from them, in an unsuspecting moment.

To add insult to injury, many of these lost souls find themselves in kennels day in and day out, week in and week out, with no-one willing to take them home although sometimes they look, despite all the efforts of our GSRE volunteers and we have some wonderful ones who walk and play with them regularly.

All the ‘Lost Souls’ who Pippa is raising funds for, have been in the care of GSRE for far too long, many of them have been in kennels for 12 months or more.  The average cost of kennelling is £7.50 for just one night.

Each and every one of these furbabes deserves at the very least, a home of their own with warmth, good food, exercise and love.

Some examples of our ‘Lost Souls’:

ARTHUR: Age 7 – been in kennels since January 2016

BELLA: Age 4 – been in kennels since June 2015

BIGGS: Age 7 – been in kennels since January 2016

CHIEF: Age 10 – been in kennels since April 2016

DUKE: Age 7 – been in kennels since December 2014

DUKE (2): Age 6 – been in kennels since January 2016

GOLDIE: Age 4 – now in foster care (lucky girlie), but looking for a home of her own.

SASHA: Age 4 – been in kennels since March 2016

TASHA: Age 5 – been in kennels since February 2016

WURZEL:  Age 7 – been in kennels since April 2016..

Please will you sponsor Pippa to help towards the kennel costs, food and veterinary fees for our GSRE lost souls.

Massive thanks for every donation, each one is very much appreciated and every single pound goes to help our dogs. .xx
