We have our very own black beauty in the doggy form of Shadow. He is almost 2yrs old, neutered, fully vaccinated and chipped.

This poor lad has not had a great time at all in his short life, failed as a so called protection dog, turned away by another rescue due to the fact he had some fear aggression issues and finally landed with us. Since spending time with our wonderful volunteers and the fab kennel owner this lad has come on in leaps and bounds.
He just keeps coming further and further out of his shell and shining brighter every day.

He is now handled by more people with no issues, fine walking alongside the other dogs on lead, travels fine in the car, has enjoyed having a bath.

His confidence has grown so much but will still need continuity in his new home for more improvements to come.

Shadow did get the chance to spend some time in a foster home where he was doing really well but on two different occasions he nipped, the first a woman who approached and offered her hand for him to sniff and he clearly felt she was too close so gave a warning nip, the second time he managed to get out of the awning of their caravan while left alone momentarily and nipped a passing man. This lad is on the nervous side and this needs to be foremost in the mind of any new home he goes to.
