This handsome lad is Shadow who is 2 years old. We are told he is microchipped and vaccinated but still entire. Shadow has been in his home since a pup but is now having to find a new home due to his owner having a long term medical condition meaning she cannot give him the time and exercise he needs.

Shadow is good with older children (7 up) but can be selective with dogs and is a no to cats. Has not done much car travel as his owner does not own a car. Has basic commands but needs some lead work and recall is very hit and miss.

Our volunteer described Shadow as being a little nervy on meeting but then friendly with no aggression. He has been OK with most dogs until recently when he has started to ‘give it large’ towards other large dogs, but his owner does wonder if he senses her illness and is maybe becoming protective of her.

In a GSD home where he will receive the exercise and training he needs, Shadow could make a wonderful addition. Are you that home?
