We were asked to take in this happy lad Hogan, who is wasjust 18 months old. Now neutered and vaccinationed, and he is microchipped and even though a foreign microchip has been registered.
“We threw an emergency life line to Hogan yesterday. He was taken into a vets to be destroyed yesterday at only a year and a half old for his reaction to strangers and his reaction being given direction. Luckily the vets spoke to us and he is now safe with us.”
Turns out he is a really nice young lad. He was sent with a bag of his belongings which included an electric shock collar and a prong collar, which may go some way to explaining his reaction to direction.”
Hogan did need some muscle build up on his back end and was thoroughly examined when he went to the vets. His xrays showed slight hip displacia but not enough to warrant surgery so he was placed into foster and began hydrotherapy which has worked wonders.
This is what his foster family say about him:
“Hogan is 22 months old now, he has settled into a good routine. He responds to his name/ sit/down/ paw/wait / no etc. He takes treats nicely, no food aggression.
This lad would thrive in a GSD experienced home being given the right direction and training without the need for ‘tools’!
Hogan has been adopted.
