Rex is 3 years old. We were asked to take him in by a local authority. They had tried contacting the owner but no joy, and most probably because he has hip dysplasia.
Rex has been x-rayed and they confirmed he just has bad hips, not to the extent of needing surgery and he is showing no pain whatsoever, we did carry out a test for DM which was negative. It was recommended that he would benefit from regular exercise to build up his back end muscle, improvements have been noticed since he has been walked regularly and is currently having weekly hydrotherapy. He is currently given daily anti inflammatory medication and joint supplements to help with his hips.
He is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Has socialised with other dogs and positive results to date.
Rex can be nervous meeting new people but if introduced correctly he is happy to take treats and be fussed. He loves being groomed and will happily lie there while you do it.
This lovely lad is going to need a very understanding home that can give him time and patience whilst taking into consideration his hips.
Rex has been adopted!
