Bobbie came to us from the pound so little is known about her background, we think she is around 2 years old and a GSD cross Mali. She had been on the run for ten days possibly longer before they got her to safety. She has a foreign microchip but not registered.

Bobbie is a very friendly girl who has been great with everyone she has met and has been fine walking out with other dogs when on lead.

When she gets over excited she can nip but is easily distracted with a toy. Loves to play and very toy orientated.
This girl really needs a ‘job’ and would love an active home where she will get the exercise and mental stimulation she craves.

We are presuming she is not yet spayed so could only live with a neutered male pending correct introductions. No history with cats or children but would say no to cats due to her drive and older children only.

Bobbie spent a night with one of our volunteers – this is what she had to say.
She is housetrained, won’t go on furniture even if invited, doesn’t beg for food when you’re eating, sleeps through the night, she had free run of the house and chose to sleep on the landing outside the bedroom door because she was scared of the fan in my room. No accidents & nothing chewed. Travels really well, lays down & goes to sleep.
She’s good with other dogs & ignores everything while out on her walks 🐾
This girl is fantastic but is a little nervous & can nip & grab clothing occasionally but not an aggressive bone in her body just an anxiety issue but she showed none of this at my house so could just be because she’s stressed in kennels 😕
Bobbie has been adopted by her foster home.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
