This beautiful little girl found herself homeless after her owner sadly passed away.
Holly arrived and was naturally very confused and upset, she took a while to settle in and she did do a little bit of kennel guarding.
After being with us for a few days we gained Holly’s trust and she is now a much happier, relaxed and calmer little girl.
Holly is two years old, she is microchipped and she has just started her vaccinations.
Once Holly knows you she really loves you, she is very affectionate but can be quite clingy.
Holly loves to play with toys, the boomer ball being her favourite. She has shown no issues around toys and she’s quite happy to share them with us.
Holly has a very good appetite, she is fed a dry, grain free kibble and again she hasn’t shown any issues around her food. She will work well for treats and then loves to settle down with a tasty pigs ear or any other long lasting natural treat.
She has been out and about, shown no interest in passers by, fine with passing vehicles etc and also no real reaction to other dogs while out.
The only issue that we have found with Holly is that she likes all ‘her people’ in one place, she doesn’t like anyone to leave the pack and will herd a little to get them back. This may need a little work in the home if one person leaves the room etc.
We have dog tested Holly and while she is ok walking alongside another dog she did react when the dog was face to face, for this reason we would say that she would be better as the only dog in the home. We cannot cat test but she has shown a high prey drive so again we feel it would be safer all round if there were no cats in the home.
We would only place Holly with older children as we have no history regarding her past other than what we were told about her owner.
This lovely young lady shouldn’t be in kennels, she should be in a home where she can be the dog that she is meant to be.
She’s a very lively girl who would enjoy plenty of long walks along with plenty of love.
Holly has been adopted.
