Please meet Troy.
Troy is a Rottie cross GSD, he’s around a year old and he’s still entire.
Troy has lived all of his short life on a chain and he is a very nervous boy.
This very handsome chap hasn’t seen anything of the outside world so everything is a shock to him.
We have started to work on Troy’s fears and so far he has done very well. He’s been out for a few short walks and he isn’t worried about traffic or other dogs etc, he’s very inquisitive and quite eager to explore.
Troy does pull a little on the lead and he has a tendency to walk sideways we are working on this and we have found that walking alongside another dog helps.
It’s clearly obvious that Troy has suffered some abuse, he is very wary of hands especially around his head, again we are working on this and we have already seen some improvement.
Troy is quite lean, he needs to gain some weight and also some muscle on his back end, we are slowly increasing his food and exercise so hopefully his body condition will soon improve.
He is a lovely boy, he doesn’t show much affection as his nerves hold him back but with time and lots of love I’m sure we will soon have a very different boy.
Troy is great around other dogs so we do think that he would benefit from living alongside a spayed bitch or neutered male.
Troy has been adopted.
