This was the post on social media on Sunday:
“Seeking a rescue space only is this stunning girl Please meet Dakota she is 12-18 month’s approximately beautiful Shepherd type.
Dakota is the sweetest and cheekiest lady who is eager to please. She still has her silly puppy side and tries to play tug with the lead when you take it off her but she is so smart and careful and never grabs the part near your hands. She loves being outdoors and I think she’d make a great companion for the right home.
We believe she does struggle understanding English (foreign chip) or she’s just not been taught anything but she’s so quick to learn. She needs a patient home where someone will stick to training. Seems happy with dogs when walking past their kennels but does argue with the dog next door – although both high energy females and similar ages.
INFO ADDED TODAY 8 MARCH: Dakota is such an amazing girl, that with training in place will excel so fast. Please keep sharing she is booked PTS ON MONDAY 11 DUE TO NO KENNELS”
So we welcomed Dakota to GSRE the next day as we could not let this baby die. She is microchipped and vaccinations are being restarted. No young children as we do not know her history but so far been fine around the other dogs at the kennels, and was fascinated when she came across a cat!
Dakota will slot into most GSD experienced homes where she will need the training and stimulation she needs at this age. A super and fun young lady!
Dakota has been adopted.
