This is what we received from one of our contacts about a poor girl that had been seized:
“The GSD I spoke to you about is female, 6/7 years old. She has been living in a box with no room to move around in! She has tested positive for lungworm and has sarcoptic mange which she has currently being treated for. Also has muscle wastage on black legs and is underweight. She really is a sweet and loving girl. Loves a tennis ball and toys. Very foodie as obviously starving but doesn’t inhale it like you would expect! She takes her time and take treats gently. She hasn’t met dogs yet due to her condition but when she sees them passing her on her walk she just wants to go over and say hello and is very waggy tailed.
With treatment she should hopefully be cleared to come to you by the end of July if space is available. Will send photos via messenger and of course keep you updated”
Suki, as she has been called, is now with us and is a different dog to the photos we first received! This gorgeous girl is microchipped and vaccinations have been started.
Suki is a sweetheart with people and has greeted everyone with a smile. No reaction to the other dogs out and about, but after a short foster in a home, would need to be the only dog as she likes her people to herself, No young children as we do not know her history, but this super girl should fit into most GSD experienced homes.
Suki has been adopted.
