Xena is a Belgian Mali and was 1 year old in July. She is microchipped and we are told vaccinated. Not yet had a season. Being rehomed due to lack of time needed for her breed meaning she is not getting the training or exercise she needs.
“Xena is a cross between a mali and a kangaroo – bouncy and excitable! She is a bright, highly energetic pup that needs a lot of exercise and mental stimulation to thrive. She is very attentive and affectionate and enjoyed being made a fuss of by our volunteer. He was not allowed to leave with any gravy bones remaining in his pocket. Xena is still at that mouthy puppy stage and would benefit from additional training. She picks things up very quickly. Walks are proving challenging for her existing owners. Xena is reactive when on the lead and will pull towards other dogs and bark.
Xena currently lives with a family that includes 3 young children. According to them, she is not possessive of toys and will accept her food being taken away without showing any aggression. Her current family says her recall is OK, but she is mainly walked on the lead to avoid distractions.
Xena will need a home that is familiar with the breed and willing to provide exercise and mental stimulation in addition to training.”
