Sparrow was born August 2024. He is microchipped and vaccinated but not yet neutered. Being rehomed as his owner took him in as a pup for a friend who then decided they did not want him back, and so now living in a flat she is not supposed to have a dog and has no garden.

“Sparrow is a really nice stamp of a GSD, good temperament walks fairly well on a lead, owner currently uses a halti. He goes with a dog walker and group walks and mixes with many dogs all sizes, male and female, and is good with all. When out walking on a lead he can have the odd bark at other dogs and people if they approach his owners however he doesn’t with the dog walker. He just needs a little more time spent training in real world situations.

Sparrow could live with older kids (if parents experienced). He’s very sensitive, listens to commands easily, but smaller kids sudden movements may spook him. He is crate trained. Travels well in dog walker’s van but can be stressy/bark in boot of car. Not fussed at fireworks. Very good at the vets.

Sparrow is in good condition, needs some muscle building. He’s good to leave alone for a few hours (once settled in). Clean in house but is entire so will mark everywhere outside. Has good recall at the walker’s field. Needs a little more work in busier places.

He would benefit from another dog to play with/learn from. His owners took him on with their hearts in the right place but life circumstances means they are having to admit he would do better with someone who can turn him into the best dog he can be.”
