Bear is 13 months old. He is neutered, microchipped and we believe up to date on vaccinations. He is a GSD cross Mali. Bear has been in the same home since a pup and is being rehomed due to his owner’s ill health and has taken a dislike to the adult son.
“Bear was upstairs when I came to the front door. He barked and was kept upstairs till he settled down a bit. He was on a lead and halti when he was allowed to meet me. He was friendly and inquisitive, sniffed me and I gave him a few treats which he took politely. He brought me a tug toy and we had a lovely little game. He was told to sit or lay down but was a bit excited, so he had a few more treats.
We took him for a short walk with his halti and 6ft lead. He pulled a bit and criss crossed all the time. When we saw a little dog on lead coming towards us he was quite excited, on his back legs whining, more excited than aggressive. 2nd time he was much better but we gave more distance. Another dog in the distance was no problem at all.
His owners used to have a pub and Bear mixed with people and dogs in the pub.
Bear is a lovely, lively teenager who will do well with training and a few boundaries.”
Bear has been rehomed by another rescue.
