This lad is Chaz who we are told is 6 years old. He is neutered and microchipped but his vaccinations are out of date. Chaz has been with his current family for a year, them having taken him on from a family member who had him from a pup. Now being rehomed due to longer working hours and Chaz gets quite anxious at being left and will chew.
Chaz is not keen on young children bothering him, but fine with older children that let him be. He used to live with a small dog but we are told is not good with other dogs when out but is good with cats. He apparently ran across to another dog when off lead once and pinned the dog down, although did not hurt him.
Our volunteer was greeted with a typical bark and he was then fine. He is good on the lead once he has got over his initial excitement when he grabs the lead and mouths your hand. Has good recall (but never let off lead if other dogs about) and basic commands. No possession issues with toys or food.
Chaz is not the greatest traveller and also has a sensitive tummy. Currently fed Asda Hero tins in jelly which he is fine on but anything in gravy or cooked food seems to upset his tummy. He is currently overweight and needs more exercise to build up his back end as presently he does drag his back legs a bit after exercise.
This lad really needs a home that can be with him the majority of the time, and can build up his exercise regime whilst slimming him down. In the right home Chaz could flourish. Are you that home?
Chaz’s owners have decided he is staying put!
