Well what can I say about this young lady! Cleo is a Mali cross Doberman. She is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated and on her 4th home bless her, despite not being 4 years old yet. She has come on leaps and bounds in her current home but nothing tires out Cleo and she needs constant stimulation which mum is now struggling with against work commitments.
Cleo has high prey drive and can get over stimulated when out if for example there are children screaming or dogs running around, and will grab the nearest thing available, which is usually her lead.
Cleo has lived with other dogs in the past and cats in the home, BUT will chase if outside so best not to risk with new small furries. This is what our volunteer has to say:
“Cleo is a lovely dog in good condition, well cared for and obviously well loved. Like all Mali’s she needs constant stimulation that the current owner is not able to fully provide. She calms when she has a ball in her mouth or when on a walk, her lead!
Whilst on a walk we went past a chihuahua barking and running up and down a picket fence with no reaction. We went past slow moving vehicles no problem at all, workman with strimmers, no problem.
When I arrived I was barked at but not viciously and was being licked as soon as I entered the house. All in all this dog would benefit from cani-cross or scent work and any other mental stimulation available.”
