Here we have Cloud, he is still a baby at 10 month old, neutered, fully vaccinated and chipped.

Cloud is now here with us in our kennels after becoming too dominant and protective in the home he went to. Cloud initially suffered with nervous aggression but in the home he was allowed to take over too much but he didn’t really know what to do and did get it badly wrong. Not really his fault or the families, just not the best match and the best thing for Cloud was to come back into our care so here we are.

Cloud can try to guard if allowed to and will bark quite fiercely in his kennel or behind the gate, this needs ignoring, not encouraging and stake your position in the partnership and this is gradually working.

Cloud has lived with other dogs and a cat, he will need a very experienced home who have a good knowledge of working with dogs with nervous aggression or it will not work.

A child free home is needed with maybe a confident older dog to help him on his road to understanding what is acceptable and what is most definitely not.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
