May I introduce Drax who is 2 years old. Now neutered and vaccinations have been restarted.

This is what our volunteer had to say about him:

“Just been and assessed this lovely two year old boy Drax. Very friendly but does jump up and mouth slightly but a firm no and he will walk off whinging soon to come back for more fusses though. Reasonably good on a lead and with other dogs. Knows several commands but recall is only ok with no distractions. Currently entire but his main problem is keeping weight on and is currently very thin even though he’s been to the vet and his bloods are ok. Being rehomed due to breakup and shortage of money along with working longer hours. Drax is a well loved dog but I feel that they are doing what is best for him.”

Drax has been in foster and has ‘fattened’up nicely, and is fine with other dogs and is an all round happy chappy.

The lovely Drax has now been adopted by his foster family.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
