Just have a look at this fine fella.
This is Eddie and he’s 2 years old, he’s neutered and chipped but his vaccinations are out of date.

Eddie has had two homes in his young life already so we need it to be third time lucky this time!

It’s taken a while for Eddie to settle into life in the kennels as he’s quite a shy and nervous boy and takes a while to trust.
Quite a few of our volunteers have walked Eddie and spent some time playing ball with him in the paddock and everyone has said how sweet he is once he gets over his shyness.

Due to Eddie being a nervous boy we would not place him with children, he’s also a no to dogs and cats. We are ideally looking for an adult only, quiet home where he will have lots of time spent with him as he thrives on attention and also a home that understands that he may take a while to adjust. Who knows, with the right training hopefully his liking for other things may well evolve.

Eddie is very good on the lead, he loves his walks and he’s shown no reaction to anything whilst out walking. He’s very fit and agile and loves nothing more than a game of football or tug. He’s been fine around food, has a good appetite and loves treats with a particular liking of pigs ears!

Eddie is the kind of boy who needs company, he’s longing for a family home where he can have the good life he deserves.

As his confidence has grown in kennels he occasionally shows some signs of nervous aggression which if you have dealt with this before can be managed, he needs firm but fair handling and we know this will bring out the best in him.

Eddie has been adopted.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
