Beautiful KC is 2 years old. She is microchipped but vaccinations are out of date and she is not spayed. Owner says she has not yet had a season! She has been in the home since a pup and is being rehomed because of her owner’s health meaning she is not getting the time or exercise she deserves. This is what our volunteer has to say about her:

“KC is a stunning dog – she’s not huge – but her face is beautiful. When I rang the bell I could hear her barking – but she wasn’t over boisterous when I went in – she doesn’t jump up – she was just pleased to see me. She quickly settled, and also quickly clocked I had some tasty treats in my pocket! She was happy to do some commands for said treats – she was really cute, when I gave her something she did a little ‘hi-five’ jump with both of her paws!

She’s a little poppet with a very sweet nature. She lives with two young cats, apparently she thinks she’s the mum of one of them, I witnessed their interaction and she was very unphased and gentle with them. She is also used to being around small children – although obviously she’s a young dog and she does have moments of excitement so any new owner would need to prevent situations where there could be bumps and knocks.

I took KC for a walk – this girl does pull – and given she’s not huge and quite slight, she’s very strong. In my view the right kind of halter (maybe a dogmatic) and lead (not a chain that makes it very difficult to hold on a shorter lead) and some proper training would really make a difference. And I think because she’s not walked very often due to her owner’s health condition – any time she does go out she’s super excited – so a lot more exercise would also make a difference.

KC is a lovely, healthy young dog and would be a perfect family addition for someone with the time and commitment to give her a lot of exercise and the training she needs.”

KC does have itchy skin which are easily managed with preds (steroids) which are not expensive.

This beautiful young lady really deserves a home that can give her the time and exercise she deserves please.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
