May I introduce Luca who is 5 years old. He is microchipped and neutered but vaccinations may be out of date. Luca came from Romania with his sister at 6 months. Due to a relationship breakdown, his owner cannot manage both dogs. This is what our volunteer had to say:

“Luca seemed a little anxious in nature. Settled once I had sat down and had given him a couple of treats. He sat and gave paw, listened to commands etc. He seemed a very well natured lad. He lives with their other dog Luna (they are litter siblings) who is extremely anxious which I feel probably rubs off on Luca.

He has not lived with cats and is ‘interested/excited’ when he sees them out.

He can pull on the lead especially when turning back for home/car. He loves going out in the car. They do let him off lead and he does listen to commands. He is good with other dogs when out but can be a defensive on the lead. She did say sometimes at night or when its dark he can be more defensive, I reassured her that is generally in their nature, he’s not aggressive just defensive and aware. “

Luca could live with older children. He is not aggressive over food or toys but does not like giving up his chew.
