Max will be 3 years old at the end of June. He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinations have been started. Max has been with his family since 9 months of age having obtained him from a friend.
Max is good with children, however older children only as he is quite exuberant and he does mouth in play which he has been allowed to get away with. He does understand no however and basic commands. He has not had enough socialisation with other dogs and his owner says he shows fear aggression, however because he is so strong, he is not getting out as much as needed so the problem is avoided. Sadly when our volunteer walked him she did not come across any other dogs to judge his reaction. A no to cats.
Max is in good condition but his nails could do with a trim through lack of exercise and he does have rear dew claws. He does have a sensitive tum but is fine on Royal Canin Maxi. Max craves attention and is used to having someone around most of the time. His owners recognise that they cannot give him what he needs long term and are also struggling financially.
Max needs an experienced home that can give him the lead training, recall training and some boundaries, whilst working on his dog socialisation issues. In the right home he will make a super companion.
Max has been adopted.
