So what can I say about this young lady! Mia is a Staffie cross and yes, she has no GSD in her as far as we are aware, but she was going to be put to sleep unless we had taken her in.

Mia is 3 years old. She is microchipped. Not spayed as she came to us having just had a litter leave her. Her owners decided she was not good with other dogs so planned to put her to sleep whilst keeping 2 of her puppies having sold the others. Social services were involved.

When Mia came in she was very nervous and a little snappy, but hardly surprising bless her. She is coming on lovely at the kennels. She can be shy but is coming out of her shell and started to play. No young children. She has been with other dogs without any issues as shown by the photos the previous owner supplied. Unknown with cats.

This is what the kennels say:

“THE VERY PRETTY LITTLE GIRLIE,,,,,,Mia, she has changed immensely since being with us. Bless her still very shy and worried about whats happening and really not keen on camera, but here is some from yesterday. She has filled out and put on nearly 9 kg on Royal Canin to build her up as she was so terribly thin on arrival. Started to play and showing us some lovely puppy cheekyness. Walking beautifully on the lead. Once she knows and trusts you she likes to be close touching you, looking for direction constantly. Such a sweet lassy .”

Can you give this little sweetheart a home please?

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
