May I introduce Nico who was 5 in July. He is neutered and microchipped but vaccinations are out of date. He has been in the same home since 6 months of age and is being rehomed because his older owner is struggling to give him all he needs. This is what our volunteer has to say about him:
“Assessment done on Nico. On arrival he barked when I knocked, entering the house he was crazy friendly and just wanted a fuss. On the lead he is strong and very excitable but this could be he is so happy just to be out. Son walks him every so often and she has been sending him to what I can make out is a respite for dogs. They collect him and he goes to a farm for a couple of weeks holiday. She says ok with other dogs once he knows them. His tail is missing due to an accident when he was a pup. Vaccines not up to date. No allergy or medical problems. She says probably better with older kids so he doesn’t knock young ones over. Loves a toy and says he comes back to recall. He is feed at 1pm and 6pm 2 tins of dog food each time but also has cooked food from them as well. Not food or toy aggressive. He is overall a fun loving guy.”
Nico is a big, strong lad so will need an active home who can give him the regular exercise and stimulation he needs, but should fit in pretty well in most homes.
Nico has been rehomed by his owner.
