We believe Nikki is about 3 years old. We were asked to take her in after she had been dumped on Christmas Day and was pregnant, with not long to go. On the 3rd January Nikki gave birth to 3 little girls but sadly 2 were born dead.

Nikki has been a fantastic mum to her surviving pup, Ruby, who has blossomed into a very independent and confident young lady and has been adopted by one of our volunteers who does not care who father may have been.

Nikki is now microchipped, and now Ruby has been weaned we will begin her vaccinations and get her spayed so she never has to go through pregnancy and grief again.

She has the most super temperament and has been good with other dogs, ignored a cat, and not fussed by horses.

Nikki is a special lady and deserves a special home.

Nikki has been adopted by her foster family.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
