This young man is Nuka who is a 10 month Husky cross German Shepherd. Nuka is in foster with another rescue based in Somerset and they would ideally like to rehome him locally.
He is vaccinated and chipped but not yet neutered as he is a very nervous young lad and the vet has recommended waiting until he is settled and confident in his forever home. If he is local, the rescue are more than happy to organise this through their vets.
Nuka’s nervousness can come across as aggression as he growls however he is actually a big softy and he loves children and is currently living with a 2 year old that he adores. His ideal home would have an older bitch that that can show him the ropes and keep him in line. He is just a big puppy at heart.
He is doing really well at training classes and loves placid dogs but does react to those who do not like him. Unknown with cats. No food or toy possessiveness but he does suffer from separation anxiety but hopefully once he settles and becomes more confident he will grow out of this.
Nuka just needs an experienced home that understands the two breeds and can give him the exercise and training he needs whilst giving him the confidence to socialise with the rest of the world.
This young man is staying with his foster mum for now.
