May I introduce Petra who is just a baby having been born in November last year. She is microchipped and fully vaccinated, and worming is up to date. Having been purchased at 8 weeks old, she is being rehomed as she is just too much for her elderly owner who realises she has taken on too much in terms of energy.
Petra is fine with other dogs and has had numerous doggie visitors, likewise children from 9 upwards. She can get anxious around fast moving objects such as ball being kicked about outside, a low flying bird, and vehicles. An experienced home should be able to overcome this as our volunteer was able to get her to re-focus when out walking with treats. Very food orientated and quick to learn.
Unknown with cats but has seen a horse and was fine. Has been left for up to an hour alone, but not crate trained. No chewing, was just sitting waiting by the door. In fact all of her puppy toys are still in one piece which says a lot for a GSD pup! Was complimented by the vet for being so well behaved on visits for her vaccinations.
Her main negative at present is travelling which will need work. She becomes very vocal and destroyed the fabric crate to get out, so her first journey to her new home will be a challenging and will need a solid crate or an experienced supervisor.
This lovely young girl will thrive in a GSD experienced home who can work with her anxieties outside of the house with the correct training. Petra is eager to learn and will be a fantastic addition to the right family.
