May I introduce Rex who was born the 28.11.18 so still a baby. Rex is currently in a home where it was supposed to be temporary while his owners moved house, however they never came back from him! His current owners therefore need to find him a proper home. They have had him for 4 months and have worked really hard with his training and socialisation as all of these were lacking when he arrived. Rex is not yet neutered but is fully vaccinated and microchipped.
Rex was good with children 8 upwards and other dogs. Unknown with cats. Very calm and friendly when people come into the house but does bark if the other resident dog starts. Used to being left for a few hours, but does have the other dog for company.
Rex is fairly good on the lead but still a work in progress as is recall, but has basic commands. When he first arrived he did not like having his collar touched but now not a problem, and still has some food aggression but this is improving as his current owner will hand feed him the first few mouthfuls and he now waits until he is told to take his food.
Rex is very lucky he found this family who have worked so hard with him and he now just needs an experienced home to continue his training and socialisation.
Rex was adopted and the home worked hard with him to continue his training and socialisation, however it has been established that Rex is not meant to be a family pet and would actually be much better having a job. This lad would be much happier in a working home with an experienced handler please.
