“We currently have a 12 month old GSD that should have gone to the council as he has been abandoned. He is a lovely lad, traditional GSD colours but perhaps a little darker than most, really good temperament, keen to please and food driven, has been seen by our vet for a couple of issues which have now been treated, he was a little on the light side when we found him, so trying to muscle him up a little, haven’t seen any dog aggression but he hasn’t been socialised as we don’t have any dogs suitable.”

Rocky is proving to be a lovely young dog born April 2025. He has been fabulous with all staff and volunteers he has met so far.  He has fairly good lead manners and has been round our enclosed woods with great recall and keeps checking in not going to far…

Rocky is big bouncy lad who arrived underweight and out of condition so is on 3meals split through the day, salmon oil, and tasty treats in small quantities, to gradually increase his weight and condition. Rocky had a play in barn today and enjoyed playing with his ball and exploring.

Rocky could potentially live with older children, and maybe another dog. This lad just needs a GSD experienced home to give the life he deserves.
