Roma is a young and goofy Mali cross who has the potential to make an intelligent utility dog. She enjoys playing with tuggy and knows how to respond to her name, sit, lie down and give paw.

Roma was brought over to the UK by a Romanian rescue who rehomed her to a family home. After only a few short months of being in the home, the family were reported for neglecting Roma and she was then signed over to the RSPCA for rehoming.

On arrival Roma showed signs of nervous aggression and we have had to gradually increase her exposure to everyday life. Her confidence has much improved but she can be avoidant of new people and she remains highly reactive towards strangers when in her kennel.

We are looking for people who are willing to continue her behavioural training and that are experienced with her breed type. The animal centre is based in Hampshire and potential adopters must be willing to make several visits in order to build a strong relationship.

Roma will need an adult-only home free from visiting children and she cannot live with cats. Roma has proven to be sociable with other dogs and could live with a well matched companion.

With people that she knows and trusts she is a fun loving dog and in many ways is very puppy like. We know with the right people she will make a rewarding dog to have around.
