Say hello to Sky, she is 5 years old, still entire with her last season in June 2017. We are told she is vaccinated but no card seen, also chipped but paperwork not available.

Sadly Sky’s mum has died leaving her having to find a new home, the rest of the family already have dogs and we are told Sky isn’t keen on other dogs so is unable to go and live with any of them.

We are told she is fine around children but as not seen we would say older children only. A no to living with other dogs but out she appears fine with larger dogs. A no to cats.

Sky was still living in her old owners home which has now been sold but fortunately we have managed to secure her an emergency foster home.

Our assessor found her to be very welcoming when he arrived, very enthusiastic for human company as she is spending longer periods by herself due to the situation.

Can anyone offer this lovely slightly overweight girl a forever home please?

Sky has a new home.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
