Sophie is 2 years old, spayed, we are told vaccinated and microchipped.
Sophie is unknown with children and not great with other dogs as she is scared of them having been attacked by two locally. She has recently bitten the neighbours small dog who she may well have found to be threatening in some way. She has however lived with a Boxer in the past so may well be able to overcome her fears with the right experienced owner. She is good with the cat she lives with but unknown if she would be ok with new cats. She will run away from livestock out of fear.
Due to her fear of dogs she has become reluctant to go walks so is overweight at present but otherwise in good condition. Her mum is working on rebuilding her confidence when out though and is taking her out for walks locally. She does have an allergy which makes her ears and feet itch however this is controlled with tablets.
Sophie dislikes some men, especially if they have a uniform or reflective jacket on. Sophie does pull on the lead but is improving, and recall is getting there. She has basic commands. She is a super friendly and well behaved dog in the home.
With experienced owners who can give her the training and socialisation she desperately needs she could be a super addition.
Sophie has worked well with her owners over the holidays and is staying put!
