Suggs-w800-h600

This young lad is Suggs, he is about 15 month old, neutered, fully vaccinated and chipped.

We believe him to be crossed with maybe a Czech Wolf dog but no one actually knows. He is a high maintenance boy and will need an owner who has some knowledge of both breeds especially the Wolf side.

He recently went into foster where he improved such a lot with his training, socialising and boundaries. He attended dog training classes which he thoroughly enjoyed. Here is what his foster mum had to say about him:
He sleeps in his crate and goes in happily. Just accept that he likes a bed of newspaper that he will shred and make a cosy nest.

He sleeps throughout the night.

He is clean in the house. He is a high octane boy who needs a lot of exercise

He goes for an hour run two or three times a week plus daily walks off lead. It is possible to tire him and usually, by the evening, he is happy to snooze by the fireside.

His recall is very good especially if a whistle is used.

He loves praise…and treats which he takes gently.

Suggs is a very affectionate dog.

He reacts well to strangers, always friendly and approachable.

He has been going to a weekly dog club which he loves!

He is intrigued by the class and friendly to the other dogs.

He is highly curious and enjoys learning.
He knows Sit, Down and wait and will sit and wait for his food until told to eat.
The Negatives.

He is destructive. Leather chews and very heavy duty plastic toys do help but nonetheless, he needs careful watching in the house and garden.

Could you and your lifestyle offer this lad his forever home so he can flourish.

Suggs is now in a home.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
