We believe Tamey is a GSD cross Dutch Herder. He is 2 years old, microchipped and neutered and we are told up to date with his vaccinations.

We are told Tamey is good with children of all ages and whilst he lives with another dog, he lunges at other dogs when out. This could be frustration and wanting to play as typically of the breed, he is full of energy and always pestering the other dog at home to play.

Tamey is good in the car and can be left for short periods. He does pull on the lead and will need recall work but has basic commands. No issues over food or toys. Tamey is being rehomed as his owner does not feel it is fair on their other dog and does not feel she can deal with his reaction to other dogs when out.

Tamey loves a treat or a ball, so with a home experienced with the breed, it should not take long to turn this lovely lad around.

Tamey’s owners have decided to keep him.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
