May I introduce Zuko who is 4 in December. He is microchipped and vaccinations are being brought up to date. He is still entire. Zuko has been with his family since a pup. Unknown with children but we are told he is good with other dogs and cats (fine with their parent’s cat). Used to being left all day but of course that is not ideal.
Zuko needs some lead training and recall work but has basic commands. No issues over food and toys BUT since moving house has begun taking things that are not his to his bed and resource guards.
This is what our volunteer had to say about him:
“Zuko is a beautiful boy. Very friendly and was great with me. He took treats very well. He is very bouncy/excitable and jumps up a lot but listens well and knows basic commands such as sit, down and stay. He tried jumping onto the table a couple of times because he knew his treat box was there so he is a cheeky boy but just needs boundaries.
Owners said his resource guarding started when they moved into their new home a few months ago and he’s bared teeth, growled and lunged at them when they’ve tried to approach.”
Are you a GSD experienced home that can help Zuko please?
Zuko, now called Bertie, has been adopted.
