We were asked to take Harley and Dredd (now called Fred) in from another rescue who had taken them in as an emergency case due to problems in their home.

Harley (female) and Fred (male) are brother and sister and had the first birthday at the beginning of August this year. They are both microchipped and vaccinated.  Fred is neutered but Harley is not spayed as far as we are aware.

They would be best being rehomed apart as unfortunately they have not had much socialisation outside of the home, meaning they stick together and if one shows any nervousness, then so may the other. Neither have shown any real aggression but nervous aggression to start.

Fred is more relaxed than his sister and they are slowly gaining confidence and coming out of their shells. We would not rehome with young children. Fred has been walking nicely with the other dogs and happy to play with another bitch. Has met the cat and just gave a sniff and ignored.

Both these dogs would probably benefit from a calm and confident home with an older dog as a role model.

Could you give one of them a home please?

Fred has got himself a home!

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
