Baxter arrived with us from the pound. He is coming up to 2 years old. Now neutered and vaccinated and he is microchipped.
Baxter is a big clumsy oaf who is full of life and needs ongoing training and boundaries, so not for the faint hearted, He has typical German Shepherd type behaviour, quite barky at other dogs next to him until he is used to them. He doesn’t seem keen on dominant male dogs but isn’t so fussed by laid back or female dogs.
No young children as we do not know his full history, plus he is too boisterous. A no to cats.
This is what the kennels say about him:
“This boy is 2 years old extremely friendly with everyone he meets. His strong on the lead but would benefit wearing a halti or something. He needs a active family who can give him the exercise he needs he has tons of energy and would run for miles!! He went to the police for 2 weeks for the handlers to train with him but he was a big dope and too friendly but all the dog handlers absolutely loved him! His brilliant to bath and brush he hasn’t got a bad bone in him and he can live with another dog maybe one who doesn’t mind to play rough 😂 can you please share for this lovely lad sometimes it’s hard for Black dogs to get a look in 😞”
Baxter will be a big bag of fun in the right home!
Baxter has been adopted.
