Have a look at this little beauty. We were asked to take her by one of our regular pound ladies as she was so scared in their kennels and needed out, so here she is. Since arriving with us she has really started to come out of her shell and this is what Rachel had to say about her.

Cassie is around 18 months old, she’s chipped, vaccinated but unknown if she’s spayed. When Cassie first arrived she was very nervous however it’s not taken her long to come round. She loves people and likes lots of fuss, she isn’t picky with food she will eat anything that is offered.

Cassie is a petite little lady that likes to sing; she’s a very chatty girl and is developing into a lovely character. She’s quite good on the lead and likes to explore. She’s seen other dogs while out walking and she does give a little playful bark. Joggers and cyclists have passed her and she’s shown no reaction. Cassie has met a few dogs and she’s been fine so with the right intro we think she could happily live with another dog.”

Cassie was adopted but was too protective and there was an incident so she has to be muzzled and kept on lead when out now sadly. Takes better to women than men and we are trying to re-socialise her with dogs as she is now showing a lot of nervous barking. She can also be quite flighty. Never shown any issues around food and walks nicely on the lead.

Cassie needs a long term foster home please that has experience of nervous aggression that can put Cassie on the right path. Cassie needs to stay under the care of the charity. Are you that special home?

Cassie has found a long term home where she will be kept safe.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
