Bear is coming up to 2 years of age. Now neutered and vaccinated. This is what we were told about him:
“I wonder if you have a space for Bear. Bear came to us in February following an allegation he had escaped the house and bitten someone.
We have had no concerns with his temperament at time of seizure or in kennels. He was VERY lean at time of seizure, he has put a bit of weight on in kennels, but he definitely struggles with his weight. He has had some period of lameness but is now sound and the vet thinks he is medically fit for rehoming.
In essence I think his temperament is entirely suitable, at least for a formal assessment (he’s even got a bit more of a spark lately). There is an ongoing Court case against his owner, who has recently disclaimed Bear.”
Bear is quite a character. He is going to need work with socialising him with other dogs as he does have a tendency to kick off at them when walking past their kennels, however he is fine out walking with other large dogs. We would not rehome with young children at this stage and he would need a pet free home.
Bear is settling nicely and has obviously not had a good relationship with his people in the past so needs to learn to trust again, but his confidence improves each day. He will need an experienced home to continue his training, boundaries and socialisation.
Bear has been adopted.
Bear has sadly passed over Rainbow Bridge before his time due to a short illness.
