We were asked to help Kea and her daughter Karma by kennels contracted to the police. The girls had been signed over having escaped their home and were seen to chase and kill a cat. They then ran towards a young child who had their sandwich stolen but was not hurt in any way.
Both girls came into us extremely thin as they had not being doing well in the previous kennels and have therefore both had initial health checks and were being fed up. As you can imagine they are both very food orientated. Kea is now quite a little porker which is great.
Kea is 8 years young and is microchipped. Not spayed and had a litter at 4 years of age. Vaccinations out of date but now restarted. Kea has previously been a working security dog so has had NASDU training. She has not been socialised with any other dogs apart from Karma, but can be vocal and does not like bull breeds. She also does not like walking sticks (which I think says a lot)!
Kea loves her toys and has been very friendly to everyone she has met so far. Karma is quite a confident lady and will need a home that has the time and space for her to settle into a home environment and also has experience of the breed.
Kea has been adopted.
