Quila (pronounced Kee-la) is coming up to 9 years old. She is microchipped and spayed. We are told she has some Husky in her. Being rehomed due to a change in living circumstances. This is what our volunteer had to say about her:

“Quila has been owned by the family since a pup and very concerned where she goes to. I heard Quila when I rang the Bell, possibly two barks but not much more, when door opened Quila in background well away from door, as I went in she came in and sniffed me, when I sat down she came over again sniffed me and I gave her a treat which she took very gently, I stroked her chin and neck and she did not seem to mind at all. She then went off and laid quietly in her bed, until lead got out and she went over and had it out put on, she did not get excited or boisterous but quite keen to go outside she behaved well on the lead.

Quila shows no signs of aggression at all, thinking back she is just very placid. She is happy to go in a car and be left when suitable for several hours and makes no fuss. They told me she is quite happy in the house as long as she knows someone in the home. Quila will stay downstairs in a bed all the time as long as somebody is about not in same room does not faze her.

While she is nearly nine years old she looks a lot younger and appears in very good condition. She does not appear to have issues with other dogs but she tends to run up to them nose first and owners of other dogs get upset, for this reason they keep her on a long lead. (I would have thought this could have been overcome and as she has good recall would be more inclined to let her off the lead with other sociable dogs and think she would learn).

Quila is an ideal adoption possibly for an active older person. From my time with her she is calm spends most time laying in her bed, does not cause issues to visitors, appears in good health and happy to go for a long or short walk.”

Quila has been rehomed by her owner.
