Jaxson is a Mali cross Doberman. He will be 3 in October and is still currently entire. He is microchipped but not up to date on vaccinations as his owner used titre testing instead. Being rehomed due to a relationship breakdown meaning his dad is having to move away.
Jaxson is not good with children, or rather has never met them, but he can be quite mouthy still. He is also not good with dogs but has lived with border terrier since a pup and a definite no to cats. Can walk well but does tend to lunge at cars and bikes. He has good basic commands and good recall with ‘come’ or a whistle. Sadly Jaxson can also resource guard his food. Told ‘leave’ and he will back off.
This is what our volunteer had to say about him:
“Jaxson was very hyper when I was in the house and quite mouthy (very gentle). He needs someone very experienced in Mali/Doberman, he is reactive to cars/bikes and selective with other dogs. He has never been in kennels and I would say limited socialisation.”
His dad says he is a loyal and loving dog with so much love to give!
Can you help this poor lad please?
Jaxson has been rehomed by his owner.
