Please give a very warm welcome to our latest arrival Odin.
Odin is 10 months old, he has started his vaccinations and he is still entire.
This stunning Shepherd found himself in the council pound, homeless and unwanted.
Odin arrived very under weight, he has a good appetite and he’s already starting to look better. We have seen no issues around food or treats.
This fabulous pup is a charmer, he loves everyone.
Odin loves toys, he is happy for toys to be taken away and has shown no issues. He loves a game of tug and also loves playing with a football although the footballs don’t last long!
He has been out and about, fine walking close to traffic, no issues passing people and he ignores other dogs. He does pull a little on the lead but this is more due to the excitement of going out for a walk.
As with most young dogs he will require some training, he already knows sit, down and wait and will work for treats.
We are looking for a home for Odin where he won’t be left for long periods and one that’s prepared to commit to his needs. He is a boisterous young pup and this must be taken into account as he will require some boundaries putting in place, the appropriate exercise and lots of stimulation.
With the correct introductions we think that Odin could live with another dog but we cannot cat test.
As with all ex pound dogs we have to say a home with older children only as we have no history and although Odin does have a fabulous nature he can get quite giddy and mouthy.
Please let’s give this pup a second chance and show him what a good home really is.
Odin is now a qualified HM Prison Dog.
