Email from council kennels:
“I hope you are well! I was wondering if you have any space for an older female German Shepherd. Mary is between 8 and 10 years old. She is very friendly and loves a fuss. She is very easy going, enjoys her walks, and does not show much interest in other dogs. She is slightly wobbly/stiff on her back legs sometimes, but it doesn’t seem to cause her any pain or distress. I have attached her behaviour assessment, as well as a photo of her. Her exit date is due to be the 11th August. Are you able to help at all?”
Well we couldn’t say no so Mary is now in foster with us. She is a lovely more mature lady. No issue with the other dogs and a happy girl. No young children as we do not know her history. Mary will have her vaccinations restarted but she is microchipped (although it wasn’t registered to anyone) and doubtful if she is spayed.
Lovely Mary will be looking for a comfortable retirement home please.
Mary has been adopted.
