May I introduce Casper who is 6 years and now neutered. He is microchipped and vaccinated.

Casper’s previous owner was made homeless so he was put into kennels for two weeks prior to the present carers collecting him a week ago. Unfortunately Casper was quite nervous of his new environment (living in a 7th floor flat) where he was living with a 1 year child and another entire smaller dog. Both males were getting too boisterous so their dog went to stay with relatives.

Casper was quite excitable when our assessor visited him and came across to say hello. He came across anxious and stressed.  Does pull on the lead but may be because he has not been getting his usual exercise. Casper has basic commands and recall.

He is good with other dogs and loves to play. Unknown with cats.

Casper just needs a calm and confident home to help him unwind from the stresses of the last month or so and underneath there is a lovely lad wanting to come out.

Now in foster he is being a very good house guest and living with another 2 sheps.

Casper’s foster family aren’t letting this lucky lad go!

Casper has passed over Rainbow Bridge at the grand age of 14.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
