Please just take a look at this little boy, his name is Andrew.
Andrew came to us via the dog warden who had luckily along with a few helpers managed to catch this gorgeous pup.
Andrew is only a baby but he’s had to deal with so much trauma and fear in his young life which is something no dog should ever endure.
This poor boy was thrown from a car with a chain around his neck, we dread to think what had happened to him previous to this but it was very clear to see that he had shut down and had no trust in humans.
Over the last few months we have gradually got Andrew to a point where he can go for walks, he is terrified of passing vehicles which is totally understandable but with time and patience he is slowly starting to get more confident. He’s actually enjoying his walks once away from the traffic.
Andrew is looking for a home that really understands his fear and one that can help him to be the dog that he should be, a quiet home where he can relax and settle.
He has been great with all the dogs he’s met and we think that a home with a confident dog might just be the help that he needs.
We cannot place Andrew into a home with children as he has nipped but only out of fear and in his defence it has been when we have asked too much of him.
Andrew is still entire and he needs to start his vaccinations, we have not done these as it would have been too stressful for him to visit our vet.
The little fella now has a good appetite but he likes to eat somewhere enclosed where he feels safe so maybe a covered crate would be the ideal place to make him feel safe?
Andrew doesn’t mean to be a difficult dog but he is going to need lots of patience until he realises that his life is good.
Andrew has been coming on in leaps and bounds, he is very excited to tell you all he is now fully vaccinated and chipped and he was very brave!!
Andrew has been adopted.
