We were contacted by council kennels who had this gorgeous young man in needing an outlet:

“Atlas is very sweet boy who has come into us as a stray. Atlas, as mentioned has been dog tested with both little and large and behaves well with both and he being handled like I said by all our staff members here. Atlas can be quite bouncy but this is just due to his young age. Atlas has been seen by a vet regarding his rear hind leg as it was causing him bother when he first arrived. However they cannot conclude an issue and it does not seen to be bothering him anymore at this stage so may just be an injury from straying but he was on pain medication.”

Atlas will not be 2 until next February. He is microchipped (although it was not registered) and now neutered. Vaccinations have been restarted. He is a very slim lad although quite a big boy. There is not an ounce of malice in him and he loves everyone he meets and wants to please!

If you have the space and time for this gorgeous boy, and experience with the breed, he will be a fun addition to most homes.

Atlas has been adopted.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
