Bear (4)

Bear is 6 years old. He is neutered but we are told he is not up to date with vaccinations. Bear has been with his current family for about 2 years having come from another family member. He is good with children 8 years plus and other dogs, however he can be quite full on! Unknown with cats.

Greeted our volunteer with a bark but more of a hello than anything else. Travels in the car well and has lived with another dog in the past.

Bear does pull on the lead initially and has selective recall! He does have basic commands and has no issues over food or toys. Bear does have pancreatitis but this is easily managed with the correct diet.

Bear is only being rehomed due to his owners ill health meaning he is not getting the exercise he needs.

Why we do what we do

German Shepherd Rescue Elite was not only set up to help as many unwanted, abandoned and neglected German Shepherds as possible, but to also offer education to the general public on the responsibilities / pros / cons of owning a large working breed dog and to be able to offer help and advice so hopefully we can become the prevention for once instead of always being the cure.
