This young man is Bear who is just a year old. Still entire but is vaccinated and microchipped. Bear is being rehomed as his owners do not trust him around their young child and have a baby on the way. He is possessive over his food and toys but only with small children. Consequently we would only rehome with teenagers upwards.
We are told Bear is selective with other dogs and no to cats. Off lead Bear is fine with other large dogs and will pull towards them wanting to play. He does not like small dogs however. He pulls on the lead to start but does soon settle. Basic commands but recall still a work in progress. Not used to being left long and has chewed when left, but then he is still a pup despite being a very big boy for his age!
Greeted our volunteer with a lot of noise but very quickly started showing affection. Bear is treat orientated and needs boundaries instilled still as can be vocal and boisterous. He does have a lump on his elbow but the vet is not worried by it and said it is due to him lying on hard floors.
Bear is a stunning big lad who will need an experienced home to get his training and boundaries on track.
Bear has been adopted.
