Bella is 6 years old. She is microchipped but not vaccinated nor spayed. She has not actually been to the vet in many years as she was so badly behaved. We are told she is no good with children, other dogs or cats and is being rehomed as she bit their 3 year old daughter. In fact the daughter fell on Bella when she was asleep and Bella nipped her in surprise, however the family now do not trust her.
This is what our volunteer had to say:
“We went in to meet Bella expecting to meet a dog with many issues, this couldn’t be further from the truth. She barked when we knocked on the door and when we went inside she was confined to the kitchen. She barked but was wagging her tail and looking to her owner for instruction, there was no aggression whatsoever. When she came to meet us her owner was panicking telling her husband not to let go of her. We said it’s fine to and we were me by a lovely, friendly dog who is very owner orientated.
She does pull on the lead but this is due to a lack of exercise. The owners say they walk her in the dark to avoid meeting other dogs as she is aggressive towards them. We found she just wants to meet hem and isn’t aggressive but lacks manners.
Bella is a beautiful looking dog. A little over weight. She loves her family and her doggy companion.”
In an experienced home, with calm confidence, Bella could turn out to be a completely different dog to the one described by her owners.
Bella has been adopted.
